§ 6.16.020. Notice of impoundment.

  • In the event that the impounding officer or the animal control officer has the means of identifying the owner, he shall notify the owner by telephone as soon as it can reasonably be accomplished and also mail a notice of impoundment to the owner's last known address by certified or registered mail. The notice by mail is required in any event with the telephone notice discretionary as a matter of convenience to be added if reasonably possible.
