§ 2.08.020. Commencement of terms.

The terms of newly elected corporate authorities, being the Mayor and members of the City Council, shall commence at the first regular or special meeting of the City Council after receipt of the official election results from the County Clerk of the regular municipal election at which the officers were elected, but shall be no later than the first regular or special meeting of the City Council in the month of June following the election.
