§ 9.36.050. Discriminatory acts.

    It is an unlawful housing practice and a violation of this chapter for any real estate broker, real estate salesman, real estate agent, lending institution, or other persons to:

    1.

    Refuse to sell or rent after the making of a bona fide offer, or to refuse to negotiate for the sale or rental of, or otherwise make unavailable or deny, real property to any person because of race, color, religion or national origin;

    2.

    Discriminate against any person in the terms, conditions or privileges of sale or rental of real property, or in the provision of services or facilities in connection therewith, because of race, color, religion or national origin;

    3.

    Make, print or publish, or cause to be made, printed or published any notice, statement or advertisement, with respect to the sale or rental of real property, that indicates any preference, limitation or discrimination based on race, color, religions or national origin, or an intention to make any such preference, limitation, or discrimination;

    4.

    Represent to any person because of race, color, religion or national origin that any real property is not available for inspection, sale or rental when such dwelling is in fact so available;

    5.

    For profit, induce or attempt to induce any person to sell or rent any real property by representations regarding the entry or prospective entry into the neighborhood of a person of a particular race, color, religion, national origin.

    B.

    It is an unlawful housing practice and a violation of this chapter for any lending institution to refuse to negotiate for, enter into, or perform any agreement to lend or guarantee the loan of funds, or in making, agreeing to make, arranging or negotiating any loan or guarantee of funds, for the purpose of financing the purchase or sale, construction, lease, rehabilitation, improvement, renovation or repair of any real property, or to offer or agree to terms, conditions or privileges that discriminate between persons because of race, color, religion, national origin, of any party to such agreement, or of any member of the family of such party, or of the residents of the area in which such real property is located.
